Bespoke Training
Bespoke SEND, inclusion and sleep training for nurseries, pre-schools and school early years teams — built around your staff, your children, and how your setting actually runs.
Settings kept asking, so I've made this available properly. For four years I led early years SEND and inclusion across a local authority, and a large part of that role was designing training for settings — not off-the-shelf sessions, but training built around the children a team was working with and the questions they were genuinely stuck on.
Most SEND training in this sector is generic out of necessity: practitioners from twenty different settings in one room, a slide deck that has to work for all of them. It's often good. It rarely changes practice on Monday morning, because it was never about your children.
I work the other way round. Before I write anything, I want to know who's in your rooms, reception classes, what your team already does well, and where they feel out of their depth. The session is built from there. The same principle runs through this as through everything else I do: I come as a partner, not an inspector.

Consultancy
Sometimes a training session isn't the thing. A team can be well trained and still stuck — with one child nobody has quite got to the bottom of, with a newly appointed SENCo who is out of their depth, or with a sense that inclusion practice has drifted without anyone being able to say exactly where.
That kind of thing needs looking at properly, not covering in an afternoon.
I take on a small number of consultancy engagements each term. What it looks like depends on what you're facing: a setting-wide inclusion review, focused work around an individual child, or ongoing support for a SENCo who would benefit from someone experienced to think alongside. Every engagement starts with a conversation about what's actually happening.
One condition runs through all of it. Where the work concerns an individual child, I involve their family — with their consent, and in the room. I don't work around parents, and I won't be brought in as a way of managing them. In my experience that isn't a constraint on the work. It's what makes it succeed.
