First Steps Support

For families who are worried about their child’s development, waiting for an assessment, or newly diagnosed and unsure what comes next. No diagnosis needed.
What’s included:
Getting to know your family: a short questionnaire before we meet, so our time together focuses on what matters most to you
A 90-minute consultation, at home or by video. We’ll talk through what you’re noticing, what’s working, what’s hard and what’s worrying you. If we meet in person, I can also spend some time with your child.
Your First Steps Plan: a written summary in plain language. It explains what I’m seeing, gives practical strategies to try at home, and sets out clear next steps. That might be who to speak to, what to ask for, and what to expect from the assessment process.
A one-page summary for your nursery or childminder, so everyone around your child is working the same way. You decide whether to share it.
Two weeks of WhatsApp support while you put the plan into practice
A 45-minute follow-up call to review how things are going and adjust the plan
Delivery: In person (within 30 miles of Barnham) or online
Engagement window: 3 weeks
Complex Transition Support

• Transition Plan document — written specifically for your child, integrated with input from involved professionals
• One-page Setting Summary — calibrated for the complexity in play
• Multi-agency liaison with involved professionals (with your consent)
• Attendance at the transition meetings needed across the engagement
• 6 weeks WhatsApp support across the transition period
• Two follow-up review calls
Delivery: Remote with attendance at in-person meetings (where local)
Engagement window: 6 weeks
Transition Planning
