SEND Support Pathways
Support for your child’s early years, with or without a diagnosis.
Maybe you’ve noticed your child finds some things harder than other children their age. Maybe nursery has raised a concern, or you’re waiting for an assessment and don’t know what to do in the meantime. Or perhaps you have a diagnosis and feel unsure what comes next.
Wherever you are, I can help you make sense of it and work out the next steps.
Is this for you?
My support is designed for families with children aged 0 to 5 who:
may need some extra help with talking, play, behaviour, emotions or daily routines
are waiting for an assessment or diagnosis
have recently been diagnosed
are starting nursery or school, or moving rooms
are finding that things aren’t working at nursery
are thinking about requesting an EHC needs assessment
You don’t need a diagnosis to get support from me.
Where most families start: First Steps — £275
First Steps is for families at the beginning of the journey. It’s ideal if you’re worried, waiting, or newly diagnosed and want an expert by your side.
What’s included:
A short questionnaire before we meet, so we focus on what matters most to you
A 90-minute consultation, at home or by video
Your First Steps Plan: a written summary with practical strategies for home and clear next steps
A one-page summary for your nursery or childminder (you decide whether to share it)
Two weeks of WhatsApp support
A 45-minute follow-up call to review how things are going
More specialist support
If you need help with something specific, I also offer:
Transition Planning (£895): for starting nursery or school, or moving rooms
Complex Transition Support (£1,299): for transitions with several professionals involved, medical needs or an EHCP
In-Setting Support (£985): for when things aren’t working at your child’s nursery or setting
EHCP Request Support (£395): help drafting your request to the local authority
How I work
I’m on your side. I’ll help you understand your child, and give you the words and confidence to speak up for them.
I also work alongside your child’s nursery as a partner, not an inspector. When everyone works together, children do better. If things do need escalating, I’ll support you through that too.
What families can expect
Specialist early years SEND knowledge, from someone who has worked in nurseries, as a SENCO and in local authority SEND leadership
Clear packages, so you know what you’re getting, what it costs and when it ends
Support that keeps you in charge. You make the decisions; I help you make them with confidence
Where I work
I meet families in person within 30 miles of Barnham, West Sussex, covering areas such as Chichester, Bognor Regis, Arundel, Littlehampton and Worthing. Online support is available anywhere in the UK.
When I’m not the right fit
If your child is at school (Year 1 or above), I’m happy to recommend services for older children.
If your child needs medical or clinical assessment first, such as from a paediatrician, speech and language therapist or OT, that’s the right place to start. I work alongside these professionals, not instead of them.
